A local band has successfully got through to the Surface Unsigned contest at the O2 arena in London on 25th September 2010. The Band is... Charlie & the Martyrs, a fab band with lots of airplay on Leicestershire Radio networks. If they are fortunate to win the contest (16 finalists in all) the prize money of £5,000 will be donated to two of their chosen charities:- The Harley Staples Charity & Teenage Cancer Trust.
